The Independence Day celebrations will be kicking into high gear very soon.  A variety of festivals and parties topped off with miraculous displays of fireworks will be had all over the country.  The beaches will be packed as families go on vacation.  How do you plan on celebrating this 4th of July?

Nothing shows your patriotic nature better than a string bikini that displays the stars and stripes of the American flag.  Add a splash of metallic and you will look as explosive as any fireworks can be.   A string bikini that represents your country is sure to get you a ton of attention.  Definitely not for the woman who is reserved or shy.

Bikini cover-ups enhance your swimwear and are becoming more popular thus, more stylish.  From short mini skirts, sarongs, tunics and short dresses, cover-ups also add versatility to your wardrobe.  As a result, many cover-ups can be worn separately depending on the style that you choose.  All in all, swimsuit cover-ups make getting ready for the after beach activities a cinch.

Cover-ups also offer an escape from the sun which is becoming more important as the suns rays are intensifying.  When packing up for the beach, don’t forget to bring plenty of water and a cover-up so that you avoid dehydration and burning.  Intermittent bouts of sun should be adhered to during the summer months in order to safeguard your skin.  Premature aging does not look pretty.  So be smart with the amount of exposure you subject your sensitive skin to.

Brazilian Benefits

A Brazilian bikini is very popular and gets its name from the unique style used on the bottom.  It generally offers full rear coverage and has a shape-it-seam inserted into the backside.  This shape-it-seam lifts and sculpts the rear end adding a more defined shape to the butt.  The front of the Brazilian bikini bottoms are scooped and sit higher on the hips which compliments most body types.

Since a Brazilian is named for the style used on the bottom, it can be paired with a variety of different bikini tops.  For women who require a little extra support, an underwire will accomplish these needs.  For those who don’t require the support, a typical triangle top will suffice.

Characteristically, Brazilian bikinis are perfect for the plus size women since the style has many benefits which include the ability to shape while offering body slimming features.  For the petite women, a Brazilian is not the best choice as this style will cover too much of the smaller frame.  If you stockier and have shorter legs, the Brazilian is designed with higher cut legs which will give the illusion of being a little taller, thus thinning out the figure.

By understanding our body types, we can choose styles that will compliment our unique shapes.  Not all bikini styles work for everyone.   Once we recognize our strengths and imperfections, we have the knowledge and ability to alter what is visualized.  With the variety of bikini styles available today, luckily we are not confined to one choice.

Monokini Bikini Slims

A monokini is a bikini that connects the top to the bottom.  As with any type of bikini, a monokini offers a variety of coverage options.  Some will have ties at the hips to make them more adjustable while others are more fitted around the hips.  As a result, it is important to ensure that you measure your body appropriately so that you are not disappointed with the fitted result.  Typically, a monokini bikini requires that you know your dress size in order to find the right size.

Many of the monokini styles have cut-outs along the sides.  These cut-outs slim the figure and add length to the torso.  A variety of different tops are available from a bandeau style to sliding scrunches.  A monokini with a bandeau style top works well for the women who don’t require much in the way of support.  On the other hand, sliding scrunches can add a little extra support with the tie that runs around the torso just under the bustline.

If you are a woman who likes a little more attention, a monokini made from metallic fabric will fit the bill perfectly.  Metallic also works well for those who are looking for a high glam appearance in a bikini contest.  A word of caution, metallic fabric is more sensitive to chlorine and will eat at the fibers causing premature aging of your suit.  As a result, swimming pools and hot tub use is not recommended while donning a metallic bikini of any kind.
