Does anyone know how to knit a tunic-length tank top?

I really want a plain, white, tunic-length tank top. I can’t find one in stores or on the internet. I know how to knit a little, and I realize it would take some practice before I could do this well, but I was wondering if anybody could help with finding a pattern and instructions for making this, or something I could easily use as a base for making this. Any help is appreciated, and any good tutorials for knitting in general, as well.

Tunic length is not really a problem. Take any tank top pattern and simply add the length to the bottom by knitting more rows.

Also, I would go sign up for www.ravelry.com . It takes them a couple of days to approve your membership, and its still Beta testing, but it’s worth it. Lots of knitting resources, a pattern browser to find just what you need, and lots of forums for friendly support or just to chat with other knitters.
