How to shrink a pair of Hollister denim shorts size 1 to fit as a size 0?

So today i went to hollister and bought SIZE ONE DENIM SHORTS. i would like to know how to shrink them? These denim shorts are made of 100% cotton and are just a regular pair of jean shorts. Does hot water really work? Are there any other ways to shrink them?? **thanks** !<3

the dryer most likely wont work on denim, probably wear a belt or take them to the cleaners and have them altered:)
